Asian Pacific Islander Community Leadership Foundation elects it’s executive board for 2017

Randon Aea, Alex Johnson, Marissa Vichayapai, Florence Sum elected as executive board.

On January 8, 2017, the Asian Pacific Islander Community Leadership Foundation (ACLF) board of directors elected Randon Aea Board Chair, Alex Johnson Board Vice Chair, Marissa Vichayapai Board Secretary, and Florence Sum Board Treasurer during their board retreat in West Seattle. Chosen for their experience, dedication to the community, and their respective skills, the new executive board will serve one-year terms. They plan to revisit ACLF’s strategic plan in the next few months and prepare for the next Community Leaders Program (CLP) cohort.

Randon is the Behavioral Health Manager for International Community Health Services(ICHS). He has been associated with ACLF since 2011 as an alumni of the Community Leader’s Program (CLP), a member of the Program Committee since 2012, a board member since 2013, and Board Treasurer in 2016. Alex is a Project Engineer with Chen Consulting Inc. He is an alumni of the 2014 Community Leader’s Program (CLP). Marissa is a Program Director for 21 Progress. In 2013, she was the project liaison between 21 Progress and ACLF’s CLP class. Alex and Marissa served the board as members of the Program Committee. Florence is a Program Operations Specialist for ADVANCE Center for Institutional Change at the University of Washington. Alex, Marissa, and Florence joined the ACLF board in 2016. They join Melissa Atalig, Justin Chan, Jamie Stroble, and Maria Williams who currently serve on the ACLF Board of Directors.
